Nichelle, what glue do you use for the ribbons? I finally tried to make them but it was a disaster. The ribbons wouldn’t stay folded and touching it caught the glue and pulled everything up again. I bought my ribbon from Michael’s and I wonder if I should buy it from a fabric store. I even tried sewing it but it was all trash:) Humbling. Incredibly humbling. So I thought I’d start with the glue. I used a Elmer’s clear and then a glue stick. I had the same problem trying to make the bareback pad. The glue didn’t work well. Thanks for any tips!
I used Aleene’s Tacky Glue for the ribbons – they are a bit fiddly to make even with that though. I’ve found it best to crimp the folds beforehand with a pair of pliers, then stick it in a clothespin until the glue sets.
Lately I’ve been using Fabri-Tac instead of Aleenes for all fabric/ribbon gluing. It sets up well and very quickly too. 🙂 It costs a bit more but most craft/fabric stores (Michaels and Joanns at least) almost always have coupons you can print out from their sites. Hope this helps! 🙂

Love the tutorial, I want to try them all! Do you have any tips on shrinking the bareback pad? I collect Schleich and I need a bareback pad (like really bad).
The PDF file can be opened in Word or through Adobe Acrobat. I know in Word the image can be selected and re-sized that way. If you’re still having trouble let me know and I’ll see what I can do. 🙂
