A while back I came across a few western bridles decorated with leather flowers. I thought it would be cute in miniature, so I put together something similar.
The reins were made with a four strand round braid, and are attached with tiny leather laces.
I also added leather poppers to the ends, and used a blood knot to attach them.
The bridle was made to fit Breyer’s new Quarter horse mare. (this one is Elbe, a SR from last year’s Breyerfest)
My interest in the hobby comes and goes these days, but I’m so glad to have another project finished! Now… what next? 😶

Wow, it’s so pretty! How do you cut such small strips of leather? I’ve tried, an they always either break or are incredibly uneven 😂
So cute!!!!! I love it!😍
Very lovely and well done!!
Wow! I just made my very first halter a couple of days ago! I must’ve chosen an ‘irregular’ faced model, because the lover strap was too long! (Either that or I’m just not good!)😅
Congrats on your first halter! I’m not sure what you mean by lover strap…could you describe it? I’m still trying to make my halters as accurate as possible 😂
Wow Nichelle! Great job! And congrats in your first halter!
I love the color of those flowers! They really compliment the bridle. Awesome job, as always! 💜
well done!
I hope you’re planning on staying in the hobby! I love the bridal, so cute!
Would you ever try making a lunging set with a surgical and all those fancy things? I think they are very cool!
Where do you get the tiny metal hardware and the leather? My daughter loves making things for her Breyer horses but I don’t know where to get materials! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work!
riorondo.com is a great place to start! I also have a list of materials and tools under my “Hobby Resources” page 🙂
