Saddle Update
I spent a few hours working on my saddle today. Here's how it's looking right now: In many ways it's been a pain, but I'm happy with the direction it's going in. So far so good, and hopefully the end result will be nice.
Slowly but surely!
Progress. The edges have been smoothed down and burnished, and the pieces have all been covered with leather finish. I think with western saddles, more time is spent in the preparation of the pieces (carving, dyeing, finishing, etc) then actually putting the saddle together! On Hold
The pieces were cut and stitchmarked: Then dyed a dark brown: Now it's Monday and nothing's changed. I like my job but sometimes it just gets in the way... especially when I'm feeling excited and inspired to take on a new tack project. Ah well, such is life!
