Breyer is currently hosting an online event called WinterFest. It’s available to everyone (you do not need to be in any of their clubs) and mostly consists of workshops. They did release a couple of special run models, which, as of writing, are still available for purchase.
One of the two, Mouse, has tack that Breyer had me design. I loved how this little set came together and am excited to see it on the horse!

Most of the workshops aren’t my thing, but I did like Sommer Prosser’s one on barn decorations. I’ve been having trouble with my hand again, so I haven’t been creating very much. But I did manage to put together a couple miniature horse wreaths. I’ve seen full size ones all over the place and never thought to try making one in miniature.
I have an excessive amount of mini greenery from past Christmas horse projects, so I was happy to put it to use.
Here’s how they turned out! I’ve added a loop to one for use as an ornament, since I don’t have a mini barn in my apartment at the moment. 😅 I think they would be cute as magnets too.
I didn’t purchase either of the SR models, but I did get this year’s Christmas pony, Mittens, to add to my collection.
I love her red “sweater” blanket!
Without her blanket, she’s a mushroom tobiano with a pearly mane and tail:
I’m trying to think of a good color to work with her. Purple, maybe? I feel like she needs costumes and ribbons and other sorts of ridiculous things.
I also picked up this year’s carousel ornament, Charger. Usually the paint work on these is kind of hit or miss, but this one seems to be ok. There’s a part of me that wants to create the carousel horse costumes for Traditional models.
I’m having a hard enough time with simple projects right now, but that doesn’t stop me from daydreaming. Maybe one day!

Your work is incredible! It’s always nice to see what you’re going to do next! I really enjoyed the write up about you in Just About Horses. It’s really nice to see a face with the name.
Thank you so much! 🙂
Your work really is amazing! You have provided a great deal of inspiration for me!
Also, I really like the holiday decor on your blog 🙂
Fantastic idea with the wreaths. It’s nice to see the ‘real’ Mittens, too. Now I’m wanting the wreath, pad and gear for Mouse without necessarily wanting the horse–! You did a really good job there. // Healing wishes for your poor hand. 🙂
