Adonis, the second release in Breyer’s 2023 Premier Collection, was recently added/gifted to my collection. He was an unexpected surprise, but very much appreciated!
He is a Lippizan stallion performing the courbette, a maneuver where the horse rears up on his hind legs and jumps forward. You can see it around the 30 second mark in this video.
The color is a nod to the coats of historical Lippizan horses. Today they’re mostly grey.
I’m hoping to see a solid grey released sometime in the future! And I’m always excited to see more performance horses added to Breyer’s lineup.

Wow! He’s so cool! I agree, it would be nice to see a solid grey model on this mold. Do you think that you’ll be making any tack for him?
Someday I’d like to make him a saddle set like those used in the Spanish riding school 🙂
