I finished up another sheet today:
This was mostly a draft-sized pattern test. I had a large/draft pattern already but it needed some modifying.
Here’s a shot of the underside for those curious. I’ve been lining all my blankets with white cotton. Also, this one’s missing the back leg straps… I might add those later on.
Each one’s getting a little easier to make though. It must be that practice makes perfect thing? Sewing/repairing garments for 6-7 hours every day helps too. Once I got used to the industrial machine at work the regular machine at home seems incredibly slow! XD
The checks with the red trim looks really nice! Does he have a name yet? π
Thanks! I haven’t figured out a name for him yet, haha π
Oh this is LOVELY! I really like the folded over strap part – that’s something I keep meaning to try on my own rugs!
He’s fabulous in that colour!! Great job!
My horses stable rug (which is sooo old bless him) doesn’t have back leg straps, so minor detail. Haha, π
For a future post, would you be able to do a review of sorts on the products you use, like glues? Occasionally you’ve done touched on it, but I’d love to hear which products you recommend. Especially glues, I use my local Hobbycraft’s general purpose glue, which does require clamping, and it does dry yellow, but it’s really strong which is why I use it, but there must be something better somewhere. π
Thank you! A review would be a good idea… I’ll have to keep that in mind as I’ve been so stuck with blog posts lately. π
