I’ve gotten two more blankets completed this week. These are based off another full-size blanket I’ve had in my reference files for years, but never got around to making.

The zebra print is my design, again printed through Spoonflower. I’ve had it sitting in my fabric stash forever, so I’m glad to finally put it to use!

Both have all the details I’ve been adding to my blankets lately: tongue buckles, removable leg straps and shoulder gussets.

I’ve listed these as auctions on Model Horse Place. The teal one can be found HERE, and the pink one HERE.

An ad for this flysheet kept appearing in my social media feeds. It comes in silver, white, and yellow ducks:

WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Essential Mesh II Combo Neck

It made me laugh. So I created a small duck pattern, had it printed on cotton through Spoonflower, then used it for a model horse sized blanket:

It still makes me laugh.

The blanket is fully lined and closes with tongue buckles in the front. The hood has velcro closures.

I wasn’t going to add the shoulder gussets, but I’m glad I decided to go with them. These were made with a new method I’ve been thinking about for months, just never got around to trying! They look so much nicer than my older ones, and are easier for me to make too. (so now I have no excuse to leave them off, lol)

Without the hood:

Off the horse:

As much as I’d like to keep it, this blanket is listed as an auction on Model Horse Place. If you’re interested in bidding, please check it out here!

For several weeks, I have been trying to get a big batch of Christmas themed items ready for my shop. My main focus has been blankets. I have 11 total in different sizes.

The largest was built on Wintersong:

I have another large one (built on Smart Chic Olena) that could also be a draft sized blanket. I didn’t expect Wintersong and Smart Chic to be able to share blankets, but hey…

The smallest was built on S’Justadream. This one fits smaller horses, such as the Cantering Welsh Pony, Misty and Henry the Fjord. It miiiight fit larger Classics, but I can’t confirm that.

The others were built on my typical blanket models, Giselle and Idocus.

I also want to note that most blankets, except for this bright Christmas tree one, have the updated straps I rambled about a little while ago. 🙂

The two quilted blankets have a single tail strap instead of the leg straps as well.

Blankets aside, there is also a small handful of English…

…and western pads.

They will be listed for sale this coming Wednesday (December 5th) around 6pm MST, so keep an eye out if you’re interested. My Etsy shop can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DesktopStables

This will be the last batch of listings on Etsy in 2018. As for 2019… it’s up in the air. I’m unhappy with some of the changes Etsy has made, so I’m going to be looking into different options for future sales. Thank you all for your interest and support of my work! ❤
