For the most part, anyway. 😉 Top view: I decided to go with tongue buckles on the breastcollar too: Overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Saddle Update
I spent a few hours working on my saddle today. Here's how it's looking right now: In many ways it's been a pain, but I'm happy with the direction it's going in. So far so good, and hopefully the end result will be nice.
Slowly but surely!
Progress. The edges have been smoothed down and burnished, and the pieces have all been covered with leather finish. I think with western saddles, more time is spent in the preparation of the pieces (carving, dyeing, finishing, etc) then actually putting the saddle together!
