I’ve been poking at this blanket in-between orders, and finally got it finished up today. It was inspired by a real turnout rug, but with some minor details changed.
I haven’t done much with two-toned blankets, so this was another test of that. (My Andalusian mare, aka “Nenya” has claimed it, so it’s not for sale)
The shape of it, especially around the front legs, was a challenge to add binding to.
And I don’t think I’ve made a blanket (minus one for a foal) that’s curved instead of square in the front.
I’ve been so inspired by the photos I’ve been seeing on Instagram lately, so I took her outside for a quick photo shoot.
The snow’s melting! The sun was out all day! It warmed up to 40Β°! Could this mean that spring is maybe, possibly, on it’s way??
I hope so!
Oh my goodness, this is incredible! I love the curved bit above the leg, and the little tail flap. Nenya looks gorgeous in it, your attention to detail is astounding! π
Wow, I love the colors! The picture looks so realistic! Love it π
This is fantastic! That first photo I was muttering, “This is a Breyer?” Good horse + great tack = She looks so good!
