I made a dress today:

Not a real dress. I don’t have the talent for that. (or the patience for that matter)

No, just a silly little dress for one of the dolls. I was tired of her purple breeches. 

I’m not very good at sewing, but there’s something I find relaxing about it. Except when the thread ties itself in knots. That’s annoying.

Anyway,  I haven’t been feeling very well lately, and have been really busy with work and whatnot, which explains why I haven’t been posting as much. It’s not like I have anything interesting to post about anyway!

I’m looking forward to the end of summer, that’s for sure. It hasn’t been a very good one and I’m just ready for it to end. I can’t wait for cooler weather and the trees to change colors either… bring it on!

I’m hoping that this fall will bring me a little more time as well, as I’ve got a bunch of things I want to do/try, as well as a bunch of new model-related projects I want to start working on.

This set of pastels came home with me last week:

Oh I love new art supplies! I’m going to attempt to customize a couple bodies I have boxed up in the closet whenever I get the chance. Chances are it will go horribly wrong, but whatever… I can still use the pastels for drawing and whatnot.

Duchess, aka “Snickers” is up first:

She needs loads of work. I think she got dragged around my a dog (or a crazy child) before I found her at a yard sale… there are holes in a couple of her legs. I think I’m going to get rid of that mane and tail, and attempt to add some more definition to her face… or something! Have no idea what color she’ll end up being yet. 🙂

*sigh*

I really ought to focus more attention on all the projects I’ve started but haven’t gotten around to completing yet. Things just keep going WRONG, which is really frustrating. Remember those Arabian halters I started working on? Every single one of them ended up twisting all weird once I sewed the braids together. I remade several of them, dealing with the same issue until I tried out a different way to stitch them together. AGH.

You can see two of the ones I got to cooperate with me in the backround of the last pic. I also have a purple one in the works, with several other colors to follow. Those will be for sale eventually, I think, unless I get too attached to them like I did with the Pink one I made for JustaDream.
