I have very little experience with painting (most of these horses were painted by other artists) so I’m afraid I don’t know what to recommend! A lot of people start out with acrylics as they have a faster drying time than oils, but I think it comes down to personal preference and experimenting with different mediums. 🙂
I use a matte spray fixative, I’m not sure what brand it is, but it works really well for me. I think that matte Mod Podge would work as well, so long as you don’t mind some brush strokes 🙂
On the larger models, would you recommend acrylic paint it oil paint? (Or whatever you use) 😉
*or oil paint
A lot of people say the acrylic paint is the best for painting models

The Cantering Warmblood Stablemate is my favorite!
What type of top-coat do you recommend? I have a leopard appaloosa stablemate without a top-coat, matte is my fave.
