Driving Demonstration

Unlike last year, I didn’t take hundreds and hundreds of photos at the expo. But I did get some that I figured I might as well share here, so…

This was one of the Colorado Driving Society’s workshops, where they were demonstrating how to harness, hitch and drive a horse.

I was under the impression that this was something you had to sign up for beforehand, but I’m not sure. It would have been cool to get up close photos!

They started by showing how to harness the horse.

Then how to hitch him to the cart.

Off they go!

I like the studded detail on this harness:

Bonus dog!

  1. Hiya!
    Looks fun.
Due to the coronavirus I’m not at uni. So I have quite a bit of time on my hands. I’ve always wanted to make rugs for my various breyers. I understand the pattern Ill need and the shaping but how do you do the decrotive trim around the edge? I’ve tried bias but my sewing machine skills arent good enough. (and I’m using my grandmothers ancient machine which doesnt help either!) From the gorgeous pictures you post of your rugs I cang see any stitching around the edge. So how do you do it? Please do help me out. Maybe post a tutorial on it? Thank you so much!
