Yesterday I spent the majority of the day watching the Event at Rebecca Farm. Late last year I purchased a zoom lens for my camera, and I’ve been eager to put it to the test. Getting practice with action shots is always good too, and with horses as the subject is even better! I took hundreds of photos and am in the process of finding the better ones, editing and re-sizing them to share here. I’ve starting uploading the larger versions to my Flickr page if you’re interested as well.
Cross Country and Novice Show Jumping were going on. Here are some shots from show jumping, Sr. Open Novice, I believe.
I really liked this grey and ended up getting a bunch of decent photos of her:
Hand-written exhibitor numbers on model horses are a pet peeve of mine, so I found it amusing to see one here.
Eventually I tried to switch things up and get some closer shots of the horses as they went past. Sometimes this was successful…
Part II coming soon. 🙂
