Prepping for Breyerfest

…in mini scale.

Last year I got it into my head to make a bunch of stuff for live showing… in model scale. Why? I’m not sure. I know I’m not the first to play with the idea of mini model horse show set-ups… or boxing up mini whinnies in scraps of Breyer boxes.

Anyway, I printed up a miniature copy of the Breyerfest program, (last year’s hadn’t been released yet so 2012 had to do) including the show classlist and a couple of blank spreadsheets.

I also put together a tiny binder…

…where there are pages keeping records of the horse and all it’s winnings…

…including tiny NAN cards, which I scanned from my real cards. (though they’re very much expired)

BFminis05I guess it’s kind of silly, but whatever. Someday I’ll make it out to Breyerfest and maybe someday I’ll get into live showing, but till then I’ll enjoy my minis and strange little world.

Have a great weekend, everyone! 🙂

  1. Oh my gosh, that is absolutely brilliant. I LOVE the binder because it’s so much like my real one! And it’s so accurate with the little three rings and the clear sleeves. Beautiful work!

    1. I put it together in Photoshop using an image of a laptop screen, a keyboard and a screenshot of my own computer’s desktop. It’s glued to a thin piece of cardboard, which I folded and painted. 🙂

        1. To be honest I don’t know. It’s fairly lightweight, but I’m not sure if it’s balsa or something else. I found it among my mom’s craft supplies, but I’m not sure where it came from.

  2. I have been wanting to make a mini set like that for ages. When get the time to make one, either the printer is broken or I don’t have enough supplies.

  3. At one point there was a printable pattern for a MW box. Does anyone know where it is free or for sale? I’d love to make a few MW boxes.
