Recently I added a Salinero to the herd, so today is a photo-spam type of day.
I bought a resin base for him and I couldn’t be happier with it. If you hate the plastic discs Breyer uses for some of their horses, I highly recommend replacing them with one of these. The plastic ones tend to break and leave the peg stuck up in the hoof.
Perhaps now I’ll get to making that dressage tack I’ve been thinking about forever… honestly I spend more time thinking of things I want to make instead of just getting them done. *sigh*In other news… I’m starting a new job this week and will be housesitting for a couple more, so if I start slacking off with posting that’s why. 😉
Wow! Beautiful horse! But does he have a flaw on his head?
Do you mean the semi-circle on the top of his head? 🙂 It’s part of the mold- I know I’ve seen it on similar models. It’s annoying, but it comes with collecting OF plastics, haha. 🙂
Oh, that is annoying. 😉
oooh he is lovely!!
Love Cloud Nine! So jelly! :3
Wow he looks in very good nick, is he LSQ? Gosh, ones that flawless are hard to find out of box, I’m assuming he was out of box since NIB ones are so rare and WAYYY expensive XD
I never noticed the circle before, I guess I’ll just have to look out for it XD
I think he’s LSQ, but everyone’s opinion of that is different, so it seems!
Yeah, that is true. It would be so much easier if there was a straight cut answer for LSQ’s and PSQ’s, bodies, etc. Hes gorgeous anyway. 🙂
As for the peg thing, my TS Black Tie Affair is lent against the wall of my shelf right now with the peg in his foot, so he needs one of those thingy majigys.xD
I wish I knew before hand, because he got right beat up when I tried to pull the peg out with pliers, poor pony. ):
Oooh, he’s lovely! I’ve got the original Salinero and I can’t get enough of his face – so regal and handsome! You should definitely make him a dressage set!
